Commitment to Environmental Sustainability
and Corporate Ethics

Environmental protection, energy sustainability, and social responsibility are core pillars of Santo Santaniello’s corporate philosophy. The company adopts an integrated approach to environmental management, reducing its environmental impact and promoting sustainable development at every stage of its production activities.

Leadership and Integrity
in the Value Chain

Santo Santaniello Srl is proud to be a Sedex Supplier Plus member, demonstrating our leadership in sustainable and ethical business practices.

This premium membership recognises organisations that go beyond mere compliance to embrace the continuous improvement of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards. As Supplier Plus members, we have access to advanced ESG training resources, increased visibility among global buyers, and official recognition of our commitment to responsible business practices.

Our Supplier Plus status reflects our dedication to transparency, ethical labour practices, environmental protection, and responsible corporate conduct across all our operations and throughout our supply chain.

Photovoltaic Systems: Clean Energy for Sustainable Production

To reduce its ecological footprint and promote energy self-sufficiency, Santo Santaniello has installed two photovoltaic systems at its production site. With a total capacity of 300 kW, these systems allow the company to meet almost all of its energy needs through renewable sources.

This strategic choice represents a concrete step towards the ecological transition, cutting CO₂ emissions and reducing dependence on fossil fuels.

Atmospheric Emissions and Workplace Safety

The company has implemented an Integrated Management System in accordance with international standards UNI EN ISO 14001 (environmental management) and UNI ISO 45001 (occupational health and safety), while also complying with current national regulations (Legislative Decree 152/2006 and Consolidated Law 81/2008).

Santo Santaniello manages:

  • Atmospheric emissions;
  • Responsible management and disposal of waste;
  • Prevention of risks to workers’ health.

Staff are continuously trained to ensure full compliance with environmental and occupational safety regulations, helping to create a healthy, safe, and aware workplace.

Santo Santaniello reaffirms its commitment to the environment, renewable energy, and social responsibility, aiming for economic growth that does not compromise future resources. Through concrete actions, recognised certifications, and advanced management models, the company positions itself as a leading example of sustainability and responsible governance in the agri-food sector.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Santo Santaniello promotes a business vision oriented towards Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), founded on values of ethics, inclusivity, and sustainability. The aim is to generate shared value, respecting:

  • People and local communities;
  • The environment and biodiversity;
  • Artistic and cultural heritage.

The company is committed to integrating sustainability principles into its corporate culture and in its relationships with partners, institutions, and industry associations. In this context, an Annual Sustainability Report is being developed to disclose the social and environmental impact of its activities and to promote best practices among all stakeholders.

Organisational Model 231/01 for the Prevention of Offences

As part of its corporate governance, Santo Santaniello has adopted an Organisation, Management, and Control Model in accordance with Legislative Decree 231/01. This model aims to prevent unlawful behaviour that could benefit or serve the interests of the company. Activities carried out include:

  • Mapping of risk areas;
  • Identification of potentially relevant offences;
  • Implementation of preventive protocols and procedures;
  • Establishment of a Supervisory Body to ensure compliance with the model.

This initiative strengthens the company’s transparency, legality, and ethical responsibility, helping to build trust with clients, suppliers, and institutional partners.
